Western Long Range Training

Ian McMurchy has a real good course.I think he does it in Sk. though. 2 of my friends took it and were pleased. I have hunted with Ian but haven't taken the course. He is a mod at www.longrangehunting.com. If you can't get him there PM me and I'll find him. Mark
 
Talk to the BCRA or APRA. They are both long range specialists and may have courses or be able to set something up. You can contact them through the DCRA website.

All are welcome to attend and participate in the match start time is 0900hrs or 9:00AM at the Homestead 900m range in K Country.Course of fire is challenging and includes movers.

EMD in London was hiring when I was there last, but only specific trades. There's a guy here in Edmonton that has done a few LR shooting courses, as well as general rifle courses as well, Wally Baer (sp?). I took one quite a while back, but I still bump into Wally occasionally. When the boys get back from the SHOT show I'll see if Guy still has his phone number. - dan
 
I believ the Shooting Edge in Calgary put on a long range shooting course, I thin it was last year? If I remember correctly, the price was pretty steep. I think it was put on at the 900m homestead range.

Heard they bailed out of those kinda courses...A whole bunch of us wanted to take it & also the CPP w/Globe Risk. I suppose if a group showed up, they would get the logostics to get it on the go!
 
I would be more interested in the tactical marksman rather than sniper portion of the crse...Depending on my summer leave dates, count me in Damadama....
 
We are trying to coordinate with our instructor to organize a 5-6 day precision rifle course in the July timeframe. We learnt our lesson last year when we were rained out of the Homestead range in June (you can ask some of the guys about the vehicle extrication).

The price was $850... Not steep when you look at the logistics and the costs to get a good instructor.
