I just finished watching Eldarodo with jhon wayne and there is a rifle in there that I want. It is used by the character Bull its got an action like a revolver but has a long barrel and a little stock. Anyone know what it is? I would like to buy one if I can find one.

Cheers,

One reason I think the revolving carbine didn't really catch on is that the shooters face has to be close to the cylinder when firing. Lots of nasty stuff can spit out the sides of the cylinder gap into the shooter's face...

I've never had that problem with the ones I've fired (although I own a few handguns that "spit", so I can see how it would happen), but think of a cylinder chainfire that lights off all cylinders (a not uncommon thing back in percussion cap/black powder days) while your left arm and hand is in front of it holding the gun. yikes! - dan

Yah, That sounds right, the picture is close but the one in the movie had a longer barrel and a tiny forstock, it had a stainless barrel, I really liked it. Ive got a good start thanks to the help from these cgners. If you here anything about repos for the guns please post on the sight but I would rather have an older one with a little more character.

Cheers,
