left a box of .303 under my seat last night and we had a crazy rainstorm and the top seal of my door leaked apparently and the box ened up getting soaked real good it wasent submerged in water but it was very wet i took the ammo out and there was water sitting on top of the case heads(box was on its side ammo facing bullet down when it was soaked)....:mad:


im getting my enfield in a few weeks and im wondering if this ammo will even fire im kinna interested to try it now:cool:

anyone else fired any wet ammo;)
 
Just like hunting in the rain, if it was not submerged should be fine. The bullets fit is such that most water will never enter the case.
 
More times than I can count, cartridges left in pockets have gone though the full cycle of the washing machine. When that happens I then fire it, just to see. And never has there been a failure to fire.

yup, second that. bullets dont actually come out cleaner though, usually a bit more tarnished.. but they always fire
 
I peed my pants once at IDPA night as I was really nervous. I had a mag in my front pocket that got soaked. The mag shot fine and it was fun watching the guys pick up the spent brass at the end of the night! :D
 
Don't worry about it. Just for the heck of it a relative of mine dropped a couple of boxes of various ammo in a bucket of water and left it there for about a week. All of it went bang.

We won't bug you about that particular episode. Nope, an adult wetting himself is off limits. Bladder control is next to trigger control. Never, gonna mention it again. You guys back off, no reminding this guy about his incontinence problems under stress.

i knew it was sealed somewhat but that makes it sound like its almost waterproof:eek:
