We have had some recent wet weather and noticed tonight that there was water in the basement. I noticed that some of my ammo got a little wet or damp. I was just wondering if this ammo will be ok to shoot? Most of the stuff that got wet was factory pistol rounds some are law enforcement ammo and some stuff was 20 guage remington shells. What do you think?? Should I try it out?

It will be fine. I had a bunch that was totally submerged for a week. Includeing a bunch of Federal 12 gauge paper trap loads. Not one misire or chambering problem.

If you get a misfire, remember to follow the safe hangfire procedure and count to 25 slowly, before lowering the firearm from the safe direction or ejecting the cartridge.

Let it dry, probably a very good chance it'll still work. Primers aren't affected by water, and they'd have to be really thoroughly soaked to get into the powder. In another thread, a guy put a 30-06 shell into a glass of water for a week, still worked. Although, I've never really heard either way about the shotshells, I imagine they'd still work.
