Why tumble?
Is the BCG not shiny enough?

If you just want to clean the nooks and crannies, use a small sonic cleaner. Takes just as long as tumbling would. but cleans all the nooks.

I think out of all the AR brands I've seen only RRA comes with polished BCGs.

There are others as well... Not Ar brands per se, but companies that make bcg

CAT tool to scrape it very infrequently... Think even sonic cleaning is overkill!

Ultra sonic would be a smarter choice and it is effective.

Wet tumbling will remove the Parkerizing. Any carbon that cannot be easily removed with solvent and a brush does not need to be removed to make your rifle functionally clean. You do not need to scrape carbon or otherwise resort to extreme measures.

Have you tried a nickel boron BCG? I have one in one of my AR's and it just needs a quick wipe and a couple drops of oil and it's ready to go again.
