Wet Weather

I hunt with electrical tape over the end of the bore, keeps the water out of it. I clean the rifles with a towel and some wd..

I use electrical tape on the end as well it grate for keeping out rain, mud, sand it blows right off wen you shot your rifle

All my blued rifles are treated with fluidfilm, a quick wipe down and a oiled patch down the bore.

Nothing else needed, never had a rifle rust yet, it just plain works

While in the woods, whatever they got before we went in is all they get. As soon as we are home, they are stood in a warm corner with action open to dry up and adjust to indoor temp before any serious cleaning.

I like SuperCubs one on standing it near the stove.

I remember as a kid visiting my great aunt and her husband circa 1970. Always lots of Winchester lever 92's and 94's, mostlt saddle rings, standing behind the woodstove in the kitchen for me to take out and play with. Old the good old days...........:)

3 pages and no mention of Eezox??? It is by far the best rust inhibitor you can out on a firearm. If tou are serious about rust prevention you owe it to yourself to research eezox. It works extremely well in tropical coastal areas, where even the telephone posts rupture from the rebar rusting internally due to all the salt mist in the air. Firarms still like new.

Ratfish oil, that is a good one. That is just an ugly fish, at least there appears to be a use for it now.
I make sure my guns have some oil wiped on in the places that are not easily accessed, before hunting season and make sure to get them to a dry place and out of the cases ASAP when I get home.
