What .17HMR semi's are out there...

Ruger 10/22 magnum, but damn I can see your wallet getting thinner from here my bolt is expensive enough to feed, 10 shots would go fast and thats alittle over $2, it be a fun $2 though.

There is NO semi-auto 17 HMR from Ruger due too pressure in the chamber.

Yes ruger does not (Must of had a brain cramp) but clark does make a barrel for it. But I think it's only the 22lr to 17m2 conversions that are wacked (possible but not just a barrel swap)

you can buy a ruger 10/22 in 22 mag and throw on a 17hmr barrel and that will work. theres lots of guys on rimfire central that have done so and they havent had any problems.

I just replaced the barrel on my 22 lr and it wasn't all that hard. I don't know the lingo, but there is a clamp/block type thing that holds the barrel into the receiver. Guide rails install into the barrel - 20-60 minutes I would guess for the whole job. I figure if I can do it, anyone can.

Why would you want to/need to??? The 597 comes in .17HMR stock standard!!!

To send it off to Dlask and have them "re-manufacture" it in an 8" length for the Krinker Plinker project...

Anyone make high cap mags for the 10/22 .22MAG? If I can get high cap mags for it, i'll go Ruger. If I can't, I'll get the 597 and build a drum mag for it...

a 22mag with 17hmr barrel on it, the 10/17 was never released but can be made easliy with just a barrel swap on 22 mag
