What 5.56 guns feed the magazines from the GI stripper clips?

well, i don't get it- are you asking what guns will take a 30 round usgi m16 mag, or how the mags are filled?- there's a doo-dad that fits over the end of the mag and you push the stripper into that and then push down- it replaced the "stripper slot" that used to be on the rifle- and yes i know it's called a charging clip guide in some circles-and the doo-dad is called a magazine filler- the early ones used to just fit over the end of the mag, but the later ones also had a bullet guide to guide the front end in as well-the "new " canadian one is made of plastic and fits over the entire mag, the american one fits just over the end- you used to get 1 with every bandolier

Well, I'll keep them anyway, for the times when 5.56 will be obsolete and M16 will be a milsurp like Mosin. Then I'll sell them for whatever equivalent of today's $1 each and buy myself a sandwich:D

Stripper clips have no use other than storing ammo, it only takes a few seconds to load a 5 round mag anyways...and a few more for a 10 round pistol mag

Well I disagree I load 5/30 mags using clips many times faster then by hand. I load the clips in front of the TV where the time is wasted anyway. For casual shooting it doesn't matter I guess, I only do it for tac rifle shooting/training where you use 5 - 10 mags at a time, I find it makes the shooting turnaround times go faster. :)

one thing i dislike is the little tabs that hold the cartridges in- once those break off , your rounds drop on the floor- it's like they're made from soup can steel- on the other hand , the old fnc1 and the canadian plastic ones don't do that

That's why you use the Canadian ones.

As for what the strippers are worth? Well, I use them and like to keep all my rounds loaded up in strippers. That being said, I'd never pay money for them when they are so easy to get for free.

If your training is well structured you use the time it takes to load mags for debrief and critique on the drills that were just completed, that way you spend more time shooting and less time talking about it. In a tac match you have all the time in the world to load mags after your relay, then the time is used to hold BS sessions and heckle other shooters :)

I have some of the Canadian bandoleers. Cloth bandoleer, 10 stripper clips, and Mag loader. Empty of course.
I would give them for the price of shipping to some CGN'ers who need them.
Just drop me a pm and i will set you up.
I think i have 6 of them...
