What a find!

I thought I would visit the local gun store a few days ago. I was checking out a few nice used air rifles. They wanted top dollar for them, as usual. The salesman asked if I would like to check out an air pistol. I said sure so he looked under the display case and pulled out a Webley tempest and handed it to me. Wow, it looked almost new, except a half inch long shallow scratch on the tube. I looked at the tag on it and couldn’t believe what I saw $140. The salesman said there was some grips too, and pulled out a set of brand new Beeman combat grips, price 30 bucks. I figure I got it for half price what they go for now. Put the grips on it and shot it a few times, hits hard as my other near mint one. Nice find!

Of course it’s the one from England. If it didn’t have that scratch, it could pass for new. My other one is almost as nice, but the trigger guard had a peice broke off so I had to order another one. It must be a Turk one because it wasn’t shiny like the original. I shot both guns at a 2x4 and both buried the pellet flush. I’m debating on getting a .22 barrel for my original so I would have 2 sweet pistols in both caliber. Probably cost 100. 40 pounds or 69 $ plus ship.

Nice. I haven’t picked up an original Tempest since high school... always wanted one since. Great find awesome price too.

Im selling some estate stuff for a recently widowed lady freaked by all the stuff her husband had. In the pile is a Beeman P1 and a Daisy 777. I nearly crapped when I saw how much these sell for. Heavy little buggers too. I was temped to take them as payment for selling the pickup load of stuff but thats too much money to hold back. They sure do look nice and solid. A competition shooter I know is very interested. Should do well for the lady.
