Well took my son out today to shoot his ( new to him) Tikka 595, 243win. tried a few loads for it, and seemed to like the R-22 45-5g with 100gr Hornady sp. ( Yes I slowly built uo this load ) Light recoil and a gas to shoot. Great round for deer sized game!

agreed. I love my Savage 12fv. I plan on hammering an antelope with it this year... Hunting Gods willing.

I've been a convert of the .243 for years, and I regret not buying a Tikka when they still made the 595/695(I won't comment on what they are making now)
