May thinking about build a non restricted pistol in .22lr.I would like to buy a restricted pistol and make it non restricted by adding PERMANATELY length to it.Like weld a rod in the back. And may be sell them to people who not want a restricted class.Or people who wants to practice pistol everywhere.I tape a rod to my 92 fs to verify to length and i will be ok with 26 inch total. Good idea or not???

I think its a good idea if it works….

It won't. As previously stated, Pistols are Restricted because they are pistols, not because they are under the length regulations. You could ad a 20" barrel and a full stock and it's still a pistol because that's what you started with. The stupid rod thing is only applicable to freedom hating dictatorships like the UK.

you could always try shooting this with a two handed pistol grip. It's pretty much a Browning Buckmark with a factory installed longer barrel and buttstock, and it's non-restricted.
