A sportered and restored rifle will never be original again. Accordingly, I consider it a $200 or less gun even with replacement full stock. For yours, I'd pay MAX $150. But some sucker will likely shell out $200 if you wait long enough ;)

Sportered milsurp

I recently picked up a sportered P14 for $40. Excellent, unaltered metal, shiney bore, bolt, barrel and rear sight matching receiver serial which is W20,000 range making this an early Winchester rifle. In other words, once sportered they really no longer have a set value, only what the next guys willing to pay for it.

Wow, you got a Good deal on your rifle! :)
I paid $125.00 for my mutt P14 Sportster...very nice shooting rifles. :)

P14

$125 is Fair Calum. Granted $40 was a steal for the one I got recently, but just last year I gladly paid $125+ship for a perfect P14(Winchester) with cut wood to put in my complete Winy stock I had. If I didnt already have the stock I'd have bought a complete, original one as restoring P14's as we know is tough.

And yes youre right Gibbs505, "that is what counts!!".
