What About Leica 1200 Range Finders?

I just received my LRF1200 in the mail today! Not the Scan model, but it is a sweet unit.

I had read reviews about how accurate it was, the optics are great, etc. etc, but having them in my hands exceeds all expectations. I ranged a house up on the hill near my house - 1100 yards. Take one big step closer - 1099. Repeatable, accurate readings. It's fast too. If it doesn't know the range within the first second, it can't get it.

Can't wait to get it out to the range! For now, lazing houses will have to do... :)

I have the LRF 900 scan model,
like others have mentioned here, dead simple.
point+press = distance!
I had a cheapy bushnell before and what a HUGE
difference lemme tell ya. The Leica will pick up even
soft targets, grass clumps, tress, rolling hills. . . something
the Bushnell would never do. I'm not sure what the range
limit is on my 900, but I got a reading of 943 yrds. on
the weekend. Glad I fork'd out the bucks, no question.
