What ammo does your Marlin Model 60 like?

Looking to find some rounds that will function reliably in this rifle. I've only shot it once with some old Winchester rounds I had and they didn't work great.

My 795 loves Blaser. They are basically the same rifle.

Much the same gun as my old Marlin 990L...it eats everything except Remmy but likes the Winchester 333 hollows the best of all bulk ammo.

Sorry....I did correct my statement. But never classed .22 Remmy as usable bulk ammo. None of my many guns would group with it, too many ftf and fte to even count.

Have you found "MADE IN CHINA" anywhere on the box yet? I am still looking.

My 60 reliably cycles Winchester Dynapoints in the black or white boxes, as well as the X-perts in 333 or 500 rd boxes. Very rare misfires, maybe 3 in 500if at all.

2 inch 5-shot groups at 100 meters all day, cheap 4-32 Nikko scope.

1.5 inch groups on real calm days and I've had a good night's sleep.

Almost as accurate as my Savage MKIIF or Marlin 981T bolties.

If you have failures to eject or feed or fire, try cleaning the rifle thoroughly and lube lightly.

Remmy ammo is bolt-action fodder.....

I clean my actions after each outing, so that rules that out. Never heard that any brand of ammo is for "bolts " only. I shoot many bolt actions and got the same result...useless....

I've taken a look at the "firing-pin-indentation" from several of my bolt-actions and - though it may just be my opinion - Remington bolt-action rimfires seem to have larger and more pronounced "imprints" : perhaps to better/more reliably deal with the lousier Remington rimfire ammo?
