What ammo to use in my CIL 190.

Just picked up a CIL 190, today!! , my daughter is just getting into junior rifle. And it's as new to me as it is to her. What ammo does everyone suggest? Currently using CCI standard velocity, 22lr, 40 grain. But is there something better? She has tryouts in a month for the Ontario Summer Games. She's been shooting a couple months with club guns and impressing the heck out of everyone! so we had to get her one.

Try some SK Standard Plus, Lapua Center X, RWS R50 and Eley Match. Make sure to clean the bore before switching ammo types. Fire 10 to 15 rounds to season the bore and then shoot a bunch of 5 round groups, do this for each type of ammo. Find which ammo shoots the smallest groups and then order a case of the same lot number.

Glad to see you found one! My young fellas 180 likes sk standard but try all the ones mentioned as each rifle may differ!

Thanks everyone, we've got a lot to learn. But that's half the fun! Going to stick with the CCI for now, and try some other brands when we have more time
