Hi folks, I just got my Henry lever action (blue model) and I already hate the iron sights! Too crude for my taste; the front sight look like a 2x4 lumber!!

I want something smaller and finer like the sight on the 10/22 or a peep sight on the receiver (not on the tang).

Also, anyone have an idea on how to put a rail on the barrel to install a EER scope or red dot?

Thanks

I've got a Henry Golden Boy with a beaded front sight and I think it's great. I see other models come with a hooded front sight.
Henry does sell cantilever scope mounts, though you have to drill and tap for installation. Maybe there's a replacement front sight available?

I have the same rifle. If you don't like the hood on the front site, just slide it off.

This not about the hood, it's the post! Look like a 2x4!!!

And yes, the receiver is grooved but I want a smaller front sight too. Anyone know where to look for this kind of setup?

For the winnie 9422, people on rimfire central usually put a marbles front sight on the rifle with a NECG rear. Should work for the henry.
