what are the 7.62x25mm tips?

i have been looking into getting a surplus totarev (or two), but im woundering what are in the tips of the Czech surplus 7.62x25mm ammo? it says just FMJ, but on a few website i found it says there steel core (just like the x39mm ammo).

Best advice I can give you. Buy a full crate or two.

If he's shooting at an indoor range they may prohibit steel core. Tends to leave the backstop in rough shape.

Yes, the 2,280 round crates of Czech surplus 7.62x25 are steel core.

You can get Prvi boxer primed brass FMJ lead core for a very reasonable $20ish per 50 rounds. Excellent ammo that you can safely shoot steel with, and the brass is great for reloading.

The Hungarian milsurp that is also available in Canada is lead-cored. It may have a magnetic steel jacket, but it has a lead core.
