For all but Fclass or PR shooting, a Harris performs nicely for hunting, varmint shooting or casual target shooting/plinking. If used correctly, a Harris is fine for those disciplines in my opinion. Not great but good enough for some. You can't argue their value. I own an Atlas and like it a lot, but I don't feel the unit itself is far superior in performance over a Harris. I feel in many cases it comes down to how the bipod is mounted to the stock. Harris's are typically mounted to a sling stud where my Atlas is mounted to a picatinny rail. There's no doubt which is more stable. Same for the VersaPod ATRS mentioned - solid. I also own a Rempel bipod that I paid $450 for, that is specifically made for Fclass shooting. It's a fantastic piece of equipment but is not really practical for any other style of shooting and that's why I have several other types, namely a Harris and Atlas. If the SEB bipods didn't cost so much, and I didn't already own a Rempel, I'd buy one in a heart beat. I'm partial to the coaxial type of adjustment. I own a SEB front rest I use for competitive short range bench rest and it's by far the best piece of ancillary equipment I've owed. At a price of $1400 it's not for everyone mind you. It comes down to what you are willing to pay and/or live with. These are good problems to have if you ask me.
