What are the CORE tests people are talking about?

I have looked around, but can find no mention other than people are taking them and then challenging the PAL and PAL Retstricted.

Core

Conservation and outdoor recreation eduacation course required as a prerequisit to getting a British Columbia hunter number card which is required to get a hunting liscense for a resident of BC.

its a course/ test so that you can hunt.
Its all about wildlife identification and learning when, where and what we are allowed to hunt.
