Well just bought my 3rd Clone but this one has a 50mm objective, what are you guys using on your bench/varmint guns?

My son uses a 10 power 40mm objective, I thought the 50mm objective and 14 magnification might come handy for shooting at longer distances but my buddy thinks anything over 40mm is too big?

Should get it soon for my .223 bolt action Savage was just wondering the pros and cons of people using both 40 and 50mm objectives and 10 to 14 power.

When talking about comparable scopes the 50mm objective will gather more light than the 40mm scope.
The only drawback to a larger objective is the additional height over the bore that will be required and the higher cheek weld required.

I like to be able to count the fleas on a groundhog. At my age with my eyes you can't have enough magnification. I use a 24X with 50mm objective

Shooting today at 300 with a 4.5x14x40.... Great field of view, lots of light....whatever works for you...

Is this the $70 one from ebay?

Actually Alibaba for 56.00 USD shipped.

The same scopes on Ebay go for up to 150.00.

Myself and 3 other buddys have bought quite a few of these over the past couple of years (the others were illuminated this one is not) and had good luck with them on .22 rimfires to .308s.

If I wasn't on a budget I would drop the 1000.00 plus on quality glass but these scopes are doing the job so why not?

what is alibaba? It sounds interesting. Do they take (FRAUD ALERT)?

I get the willies when I deal with a scope over 40mm...BUT...

On target and LR type rifles I concede the point that bigger tends to be brighter which is why my Savage LE2B and ATRS 300WM have 50mm and 56mm objectives respectively. In the beginning the 300 wore a 3.5-10x Mark 4 with a 40mm objective. I love the scope because it's small and reasonably trim. But it wasn't enough power so I upgraded to a 5.5-22x NXS with the 56mm objective.

Would I want to spend all day in the bush with that big a scope? Oh hell no! But on a rifle that will primarily reach out and swat things at great distance the optical quality makes a big difference.

No, you're talking clones which is a whole different kettle of fish. Actually, picture a kettle of fish lest out in the sun in August. That's the kind of stinky #### you're talking about.

I'm in the same boat, one of my hunting scopes is a big azz Bushnell 12x 40x50, lol. Currently it's on my .243 Savage 11. It's bulky but super clear.

I do also have a Leopold 1x4x whatever but I tend to leave that on my .243 Handi rifle.

Here is the link for individual ordering of scopes.

This service is like Ebay without the bidding, you cut out the middleman deal directly with the factory. In 5 years I have lodged 2 complaints and the buyer protection group refunded me the funds for defective electronics but all the scopes we have bought have worked just great.

Funny thing is all my buddys said cheap Chinese made crap, then I asked them to check where their scopes, scope rings, and other accesorries were made, yup CHINA!! All the retailers do is repackage and apply healthy markups.

These scopes work very well I would say much like a 200.00 - 400.00 scope but nothing like a 1200.00 to 2000.00 Nightforce of course. :)

I will not buy a scope without target turrets as the cap thing gets old quick.

Have this one on my son's Anschultz bolt action.

Bought this scope cover for my Savage Hog Hunter for bouncing around in my FJ.

Alibaba is the high volume site designed for businesses to place wholesale orders on. To buy smaller quantities, check out aliexpress, which is the same sellers, but smaller quantities.

Things on Ebay come from alibaba.. So go right to the source. Ali express.

Your chances of getting ###### are higher but the savings are worth it :D Maybe not buyer beware.

I buy from there all the time.
