What are you guys using for reticles?

MOAR or MOAR T. Can't see how it can get any better than these in my experience.

Yes agree - once you get used to using any of the MOA variants it is hard to go back to anything else! Cant stress the importance of having your scope reticle levelled in line with the barrel with these reticles tho! yes i know from experience....lol!

The reticle gradients should match the click format. If the scope clicks in MOA then the reticle should be MOA. If the scope clicks in Mils then the reticle should be in Mils.

Nothing slows you down more than processing the translation.

On the point of translation is the issue of FFP or SFP. I have on more than one occasion neglected to compensate for the magnification change to reticle scaling and lost points in match competition over it. I am now a hard core advocate of FFP scopes.

You should reduce the amount of mental processing wherever possible so that when the pressure is on you can stay focused on the task. You gain nothing by leaving lawn chairs on your race track. (if you know what I mean)

Also what you chose for one rifle should be used for all. Again don't invite confusion. All my scopes are MOA but I hastily purchased a high end Mil/Mil scope and have lived to regret it. I just know that when the chips are down (sooner or later) I will not make the change correctly with the Mil/Mil scope.

I prefer target cross hairs. I judge wind by "feel" and hold over. I also like the super fine hairs. Here is what my 10-50 Sightron looks like at 500m.

Which one of those knobs and twisty bits pulls the trigger?

=)

Truth! Started with an npr2 moa sfp, then went to a MilR in sfp and now on the hunt for ffp mrad based. Currently trying a ebr-2c which I am really liking. May just be my mind but that clutter dissolves into the background when I don't need it. Want to try a p4l fine and see if I miss the wind hold holds.
