I am looking for a handy log book for shooting. Preferably it be smaller and inclosed in some sort of zippered case to resist wear and tear. What are you guys using, and where should I find such an item?

I am using the V-Bull Precision Data Log Book. it is well thought out and comes with pre-made range/data cards, Rifle Maintence Cards, and Laminated ballistic range/wind/movement/conversions tables..........

If you want to build your own, CPGear / Wheelers has an assortment of small binders and memo pad holders, as well as, waterproof paper. MilCun also carries laminated inserts for DCRA style shooting and CFSAC Sniper course of fire.

What I have done after some trial and error is use a 3 punch binder and I have a section for each gun. The front page is my JBM calulator print off sheet and then I have a bunch of targets 3 hole punched that I add as I shoot them. I just fill in the data for each day with the load, conditions and group size on each target. Then I can look back at any time I want and see my progress and results.

I looked at this book and found it to be way too big. Depends on what you are using it for I suppose. Some of the sheets are not write in the rain or laminated and all the tables, wind charts formulas etc were copied out of the TRGT Data book.
