What base, rings and optics on a savage mk2 TR?
I want to shoot 25-200 yards with it.

Any good quality scope that I should put on it? I don't feel like paying 1000$ for a 6-24 PST on a .22 rifle, but what about that bushnell elite 5-15x40 tactical at like 500$?
Any other ideas around 500$? Or suggest something else.

I'm not going with a cheap scope, and I'm not going with a nightforce, you get it?

What rail, base, rings, etc?

Thanks

I have the 5-15 it is a nice scope for the $ the only thing that makes me want to upgrade is the lack of adjustment in the 1" tube it will only dial to 650 yards which is good for now , also the front paralax is kinda hard to adjust while looking threw the optic the 6-24 is around the 750$ range and has 30mm tube and side paralax I think it is well worth the extra $

Check out the bushnell ar optics line , there is a 2-7 32x made for rimfire it has a bdc and target turrets that would be perfect for a target style rimfire

Ya that comment about the 6-24 I didn't relize what rifle we were talking about , the 2-7 at optic looks like a good choice for a .22 ... Also weaver has many scopes for good prices !

I think it comes with weaver bases already, so you just need some rings and a good scope.
I love TPS rings for any application. I'd probably go with TSR in aluminum, low or medium depending on the size of the scope you are looking at.
For a scope, something with an adjustable objective is a must for .22. I'd say stay away from anything made in China regardless of who put their name on it....Vortex, Bushnell, etc have some lines made there so research well beforehand. Burris is always a solid choice, Redfield is decent as well, Bushnell Elite are nice scopes, and Leupold are always quality. I like anything around a 10x for power on rimfires, plenty for the ranges they are good for.

those won't be out until July/August by the sounds of things. I'd want to see where they are made first before buying.
