What bran AR do you recommend?

Hey guys what name brand AR do you swear by... Do they all work flawless or what! What brand would you buy and what brand would you stay away from? I'd like to hear it from the pro's, that being all my fellow gun nutz!

There are many reputable manufacturers of AR pattern rifles. LMT, BCM, DD, Sig Sauer, H&K, KAC, PWS, Noveske, Colt are all top notch and I wouldn't hesitate recommending any of them. Although I have only owned an LMT (of the rifles named), these companies all have stellar reputations. As for my LMT, it ran flawlessly. I did replace it with a Swiss Arms carbine eventually, although it wasn't because of any perceived defect or dissatisfaction with the LMT.

For ARs, Norinco 14.5" barrel I have found digested any ammo I feed it, regularly.

I'm a PWS guy myself (love the long stroke gas piston system)..

However I'd avoid anything make by the a soda bottling company!

Agreed. Unless of course you want a Canadian made AR with a free-float handguard, 1 in 7 twist barrel, and a lifetime warranty for $1149.

my american made su16F likes a failure once in a while.

I have run AR's since 1988. My 2 cents is:

- If you are on a budget go Rock Rivers.

- If you are middle of the road budget, go Stag.

- If you want to go high end, flip a coin between LMT and Colt.

For the record the most accurate AR-15 I have ever owned was a Rock River (It outshot my ATR AR-15).

I have a BCM great gun, buy the base model and accessorize it with the items you really want.Thats half the fun. I liked Colt but Not the prices.
