What brand of magazines are you using in your CZ SP-01 Shadow?

Just curious, i have only the CZ mags that came with the pistol, are there other better or cheaper options?

OEM CZ mags has plastic bases. I’ve seen Mec Gar all steel mags that works as well. Btw,
Jericho 941 and Tanfoglio magazines works just fine. I believe base pads mounts on better on all-steel magazine.

I like Mecgars with the blue followers. The followers can come out so it allows for easy cleaning when you’re at a match. I had Tanfo mags and because of how they were pinned the followers can’t come out, and the baseplates leave a gap in the SP-01.

I don't like the factory plastic base mags. I use the Jericho 941 40 cal mags. Nice quality and you get some bonus capacity.

If you want mags that will last, nothing beats the tanfoglio ones. I’ve dropped my mags hundreds of times over hard cement while doing mag changes and they are the only ones that last. It’s the reason most IPSC cz shooters use them.

They are solid all steel. Even the oem baseplates are great. Slightly more expensive but will outlast any mcgar or even cz ones

No, most CZ shooters use the CZ/MecGar mags, and the Tanfo ones, while fine, are not as good as the MG ones. As well, if you are a lefty and have swapped the mag release over, the Tanfo mags will not work. the mag cuts on CZ mags are staggered vs being the same height on the Tanfo mags. The new MG mags are the best designed and manufactured mags available for the CZ
