What Bullet Wt for Tikka Tactical

rifles are like beer drinkers , they all like their own brand . And it is your job to find out which round or load that your rifle likes . I have a tikka s/s in 7 mm rem mag . I shot 165 gr serria boattails for a couple of hunting seasons , because a friend said it was a good round for him . I had not bad , but not great accurrice with this round . Then after reloading a few test rounds I came across a magazine with a Barnes X add . I tried them out and it shot a three round group at 100 meters in less than a 8th of an inch group . I found my rifles sweet spot . a 160 gr Barnes X bullet with federal large rifle primmers and and 61.0 grs of Imr 7828 . I hope that my little story helped
it is better to be thought a fool and say nothing , than to open one`s mouth and remove all dought

I shoot a Tikka Master Sporter, very similar to your outfit. These rifles are easy to shoot and one chambered in 308 is especially forgiving. Some powders that your rifle might like are IMR4895, IMR4064, IMR3031, Varget, W748, H380, AA2520. Bullets to try Sierra 155 Palma, 168 MK, 175MK, Hornady A-Max same weights, Lapua 154 & 167 Scenar, Winchester Brass, and Winchester LR primers.

My rifle likes AA2520 with Sierra 155 bullet. But it shoots most of the above very well, ultimate accuracy was sacrificed for consistency, with AA2520 coming out on top with my gun.
