what caliber do you shot in Productuon?

There is no Major Power factor in Prod...so 9 mil is fine (and most common)

There is a small but loyal following for .40 (heavier bullets at lower speed)..you even see the occarional .45

9MM is the way to go...cheap, low recoil....
Unless you have a warehouse full of other calibre ammo , or don't own a suitable 9MM....
Why deal with more recoil than you have to?!( Unless it's an 'honour' thing)!;)

Downloaded 40 is cheating and against the spirit of the division.

Um...no...

It's only cheating if it's against the rules...and there's nothing in the rule book about Spirit.

No offence to the Prod crowd (I dabble in it myself)...but Production is probably the gamiest Division in IPSC...or at least the biggest equipment race...

You want to upgrade in Open or Standard...buy a new part...you want to keep up in prod...buy a new gun...

If there are truley grass roots types think that it's different, they'll be sadly dissappointed. Production is no less competative than the other Divisions...

If you need to get it out of your system (spirit that is) I think that any of the xDPA organizations would be a good choice (in addition to IPSC of course)

My .02

^you know I sort of wonder what would the results be if they used a chrono at every match to check ammo. I have seem some .40 that barely made the slide move. Other than CZ production seems fairly level dont you think?

Well I have seen a few 40's and one 45 in production out here. Having watched how little movement there is in these guns and knowing the energy is the square of the velocity I am thinking that a larger calibre might be the way to go in production. Now, as soon as they let me put a propoint on one I might give it a try.

I use 9mm & .40
Both types of ammo need to be downloaded for real advantage

Who shoots full power factory ammo in production?
