what calibre for big game

Hey guys, what calibre should I get for big game in North America.

Also, is the 30/06 a better bet than the 270? or 270 wsm?

Finally, I am wanting a slug gun, but have heard they can't dispatch grizzlies at more than 50 yards so I'm back to thinking 450 Marlin.

Oops, I almost forgot. When using my 22 250 for deer, what bullet type should I use for maximum expansion for 300 -500 yrd head shots.

GOD himself created the 30-06. Every other calibre is just a "poser". WSM's are for guys who were breastfed past the age of 10.

A 12 g is useless past 10yds. Why, I'd let you shoot me in the chest with one at 20yds just to show ya.......450 Marlin is great but only with 007 HDGFBNVX Powder that they only sell during leap years in Slovenia. I think P&D has a few pounds tho, at least they did last week.....use buckfackinhammer jacketed bullet tho or you are just wasting good powder......

500 yds for a head shot on a deer?????? If you ever go to the range and practice, you will find that the 22-250 is quite effective on deer at 1500yds and I have video that I saw on the Internet that proves it.

Your right though, there are some real idiotic threads being started in here lately.

I shot a squirrel once, guess that makes me an expert squirrel hunter. Going to the squirrel killing professional hunters gathering next week to learn alot more from guys all over the planet that have been killing squirrels all they're life. Maybe I'll try to teach them how to kill a Canadian squirrel. Not sure if I should bring the Jeffries or the Rigby for them Sabre Tooth Russian squirrels though. I guess the ballistic coefficient will be the breaker on that tie.
