What can I expect from a 10/22 Target

Depends on the rifle and which ammo it likes. Each rifle is a bit different. Also what do you consider hunting ammo? High velocity stuff? If so don't expect decent groups. Here's an indoor 20 yard ammo test with a 10/22 target. You can see the difference between ammo.

Top 5 targets are 5 rounds of Lapua Super club for each target. The bottom 4 are 5 rounds of CCI velocitors for each target.

The trigger has since been worked on, the scope rail replaced with a Leupold one piece mount and a Falcon 4-14x 44mm scope with parallax adjustment down to 10 yards replaced the 3-9x 40mm centerfire scope. Groups with Lapua shrank after these changes.

The target below was shot with a stock K10/22T (stainless target in a brown laminate stock).

I have one and get similar groups to epoxy-7 the only thing after market on mine is the stock mine seems to like the dyno points from wallmart

Yep, same thing here. I have a stock 10/22 target, Harris bipod, trigger job and 5-15 Bushnell scope. The only ammo capable of grouping in a dime at 50 yards is Lapua Super Club. I tried Federal AE, CCI standard velocity, CCI Minimag and many other brands but I get horrible grouping.

Well........on the other hand with the exception of 2 flyers on the bottem row them thar are pretty good groups. Sometmes I think we get too cought up with one hole groups instead of shooting for FUN!!!
