What can I shoot out of my Boito .410?

I was wondering if it was safe to shoot slugs out of it or even the Winchester supreme elite pdx1

I'm not sure what type of choke is on the gun but it’s defiantly choked on the front I already shot 10 Winchester supreme pdx1 through it but I’m wondering if it could damage the gun or be unsafe. Also what’s the biggest round I could shoot out of this .410 shotgun just for when I feel like shooting some targets?

This is my first 410 shotgun so that’s why I'm asking.

yea.....thats not accurate slugs cannot be fired through ANY choke.

I had shot slugs out of my Boito before I sold it....

I said RIFLED SLUGS which are designed to compress when going through a choke. Saboted slugs are not the same. The following is taken from a box of Remington 20 ga 2 3/4"slugger rifled slugs quote:Rifled slugs may be fired through any choke, but improved cylinder is the best. end quote. Any questions?

"...RIFLED SLUGS which are designed to compress..." They're not, but a full choke still shouldn't be hurt by a slug.
Brazilian made Boito .410's came/come with assorted chokes. Both full, one full one modified, etc. Not high end stuff and parts can be difficult to get. Should you ever need any. You really need to measure the barrels with a vernier to find out what chokes it has.

Your pdx1 is chambered for 3 inch ammo as the above quote is most correct. There are old 410's still out there that were not chambered for 3 inch fodder though

yes the fins on rifled slugs are ment to compress and fit thru any choke ,how do you think your daddy and granddady shot deer with there old shot guns thy did not have a choice of barels or chokes .rifled slugs cxan be shot out of any choke full to imp with no ill effect it has been done for the last 100 year some guys just do not get it and nevr will DUTCH

Thank you dutchhunter. I can never understand why people think they will blow up their shotgun with a rifled slug. Take one apart and look to see how they are made and you will understand. There is a difference between rifled slugs and the newer saboted slugs designed for a rifled barrel.
