I just purchased the B 3 (late xmas gift) and I'm trying to decide if I should sell my RCBS press I have read that there are some functions that the coax can not preform .I mostly will be loading 308 some 3006 and the odd 303b I dont see myself doing any wildcat rds .or any case forming. The only thing I see so far the might not work in press is my Hornady bullet puller??

I have 2 Co-ax presses, and I think they are far and away the best single stage press ever made.
But, I still keep an RCBS Rockchucker on another bench solely for pulling bullets.

Dave.

The Coax is my preferred press for rifle loading. I keep a Lee turret for testing and pulling bullets.

Because of the design of the shell holder the Coax may not be able to push a case into a small base die.

If you can keep the RCBS you will likely find it handy.

Forster makes a ``Shell Holder Adapter Plate`` that allows the use of regular RCBS-Redding-Hornady standard shellholders, or the Redding competition shellholders. $25US

According to some, the Co-Ax press can cure more diseases, and get you more chicks than a Wolf Shirt, and give BJ's under the reloading bench while it's in use.

But so far, I have not been convinced that it's worth any more to me than what I have, given the price, which amounts to money I would rather spend on powder, primers, and bullets.

What can't it do? Convince me that I need one.

:)

Won't bother trying to convince you Trev. If you are happy with what you are using...that is great!

But once you have used a co-ax for a bit, then you can make an educated judgment. Dave.

forgot to get the adapter but its only 28 cdn and xreloader has them .as for pulling bullets forester has a puller die ,good thing is I don't think the press if I sell it is going to far, my next door neighbor wants to start reloading so I might sell it to him with the condition I can go use it if I need
As for do you NEED a coax ,its money and I cant take it with me lol so why not
Tks

Yeah, it is great. Full freezer, for a lot of years, courtesy of a Lyman convertible press that made the Lee Challenger look like a pretty spiffy piece of kit. Yup, it was (and is) a lightweight POS, but the gophers and deer didn't know that! Using a Lee Classic Cast right now, and am happy enough with it. It was on sale, and works well enough.

I got hands on a co-ax a while back. It didn't do anything for me, and the extra money was a disincentive. As the fella says, you can't take it with you. But I can spend it on other things.

Too many guys around that think they can buy that magic piece of equipment that will make their shooting better. Add in the blow-hards that have consistently spewed their ignorance about how their gear is so much better than mine, over the years, and I really don't much feel the need to join their particular little club, either. And no, not you. :)

I wouldn't ever tell anyone they shouldn't have one, but I would suggest to them to try to actually quantify the benefit that they think they should get, and what problems they can prove they are having, that having one of these presses will solve.

My educated judgment says a Co-ax Press is and answer to a problem I have not been having. Thus, I won't be buying one anytime soon, unless it' at a Garage Sale, priced at what the guy told his wife he paid for it. :p

Cheers
