I see RCBS offers a limited production forming die for .375 Holland & Holland Flanged NE mag, and I'm hoping to find out what cases it can be formed from. Does anyone know? I'm aware the cases are available from Bertram, Jamison, and others but would be looking to form "practice brass" at prices much lower than these makers.

Welcome to AfricaHunting.com.

I see our searching has led to the same place. The Handloaders Manual of Cartridge Conversions says only bell brass can be used. Of course Bell has been out of business for 5 years and all the old stock is long gone.:(
All I can do is wish you luck.

Indeed it is Cam, and indeed we have rodagra :)

For a little more background, I'm trying to decide between .450-400 and .375 Flanged. I'm a big .375 fan, just used it in Africa in April in the belted incarnation. Unfortunately, the cases for the Flanged are difficult to get, where with Hornady's picking up the .450-400 brass for it has become relatively easy to come by. Brass availability just may decide this one, looking more and more like .450-400's the way to go. I'm also trying to figure out which of the two cartridges generates the greater back/breech thrust but getting an idea of the size of the internal base area of both cartridges has proven challenging.

Bertram brass is listed for all these cals. in the Buffalo Arms catalogue, but may be avail. in Canada or Aussie Land(wherever that is).

Unfortunately I've tried Bertram, and it's almost junk. Non starter though as I can get Jamison as well, which is quite good. Not looking for factory brass as the first post mentions, but cheap practice brass. My search was started by finding a listing for an RCBS .375 Flanged case forming die, so there must be something cheaper, or at least more readily available, that will work to form from or the die wouldn't be offered.

You may have already tried them but if RCBS is selling forming dies they may be able to tell you what you are supposed to form them from.
