What choke for slugs?

I don`t have a slug barrel for my 870 and have never really shot slugs out of it. Is mod choke ok to use? Obviously I would be safe with the IC choke but would rather have mod choke in it.

Your fine with the Mod choke. The slug is made of soft lead that will even swage through a Full choke.

If we are talking about the old style, classic slug, that looks like an overgrown pellet with the skirt at the back, any choke will work, but it was often considered that full choke was best.

I always used a Mod for slugs but with that being said,, I have heard guys have great resaults with rifled choke tubes and sabots so that maybe a way to go. I have never done it myself so the info is here say ...
