what chrony to buy?

It depend on what you want it to do
If your just shooting through it the alpha will do great
if you want to hook it up to a screen and get the printer ect go for the gama master
I went in the middle and got the blue one and it works just fine for me(I like the screen)

I picked up a shooting chrony Beta Master after Christmas and have used it once. It is my first one. So far it has just told me that some of my reloads are slower than I expected.
It is going to do what I want it to do.
It all depends on what you feel you need. If I had not been able to get the Beta for the price I did I would have ordered a Pact. Lebaron also sells the Shooting Chrony and an email to Chrony for a price suggested you could also pick one up at Chrony in Mississauga or they would ship one out directly to you.

I use a basic Chrony and it works just fine. I just use it to check velocity once I've worked up a good shooting load. If a guy was using it a lot more often than I do I can see that the remote read out and data storage features would be handy. I once tested mine for accuracy by shooting through my Chrony and an Oehler at the same time, they gave exactly the same readings.

I use the basic Chrony Alpha. Works great!! No bells & whistles, but priced accordingly. I would buy another. :)

I got mine for $25. It was used, but needed repairs which cost another $30. Still a good deal @ $55 for a refurb. Warrenty and repairs are done right here in Canada

.

I use the basic Chrony too. I once put a bullet right through it. Went to Chrony in Mississauaga and they replaced it free with an ugrade. Always accurate enough to gauge hitting a bullseye @ 1000yds in F-Class on the first sighter. I consider that perfect for the money.

Go and buy this one. http://www.oehler-research.com/model35.html
It costs more but money well spend. I have Chrony and I know that in couple years I gonna update to Oehler

From Oehler's web site.

Oehler has reluctantly suspended production of handloader equipment, including the Model 35. Our current inventory of handloader systems is depleted. Production of industrial equipment and technical support for all Oehler equipment continues. You can still get warranty service and parts.

The cheap shooting chrony is very good... count on putting a hole through it ... so cheap is good!
