i bought a remington 887 off ee a while back but i hear the finish is not so great should i trade it for something else
i like the 870 and the pardner pump

One hears a lot of things. I heard that the Remington 1187's were rust buckets. I've had one for 6 years and no rust yet. Like the above poster said---use it.

887 is wrapped in rubber, it should be fairly tough and stand up well.
