What do I have?

Someone I work with has offered me this rifle. I am not familiar with Milsurp. The pics were taken with his iphone.

It has not been fired in over 30 years. He has the bolt.

Russian gun but made by an American company so it is interesting. They did make a great many of them however.

Actually....what you have is a Finnish rebuilt, New England Westinghouse manufactured M91. Just forward of the New England Westinghouse roll mark is the Finnish Military "Boxed SA" marking. It may have the original stock, or one of the Finnish 2 piece "Finger Joint" stocks, I can't tell from the pic. The one shown in the pic also has the Finnish sling swivel system. If the bore is reasonable it would make for a great shooter. It's also collectable!
