What do I have?

Opened up an RCBS Pro-Melt box and found this. About 3 inches long - both sides. Straight portion is threaded for most of its length and has a lock nut so the cylindrical surface can be positioned at a precise spot. Looks like it could be used to replace the mould guide at the bottom of the Pro-melt furnace but have no idea of its purpose. Can anyone help? Thanks John

that part looks like the mould guide on mine.

Interesting. The mould guide I had was a longer piece on the bottom below the spout with a couple of locator cylinders on it.

Thanks. That’s quite possible. It looks like it would fit at point #15 replacing guide rod #12 but it would be quite a bit shorter than #12. Aftermarket part for special mould?
