Ok folks, I know this has been asked a million times already so here it goes again. What do I need to get started ? I think I'll pick up one of those Lee Anniversary kits within a few months, I don't need anything fancy, just the basics so I can have ammo when I need it ...
Milsurp calibers are increasingly sold by the crate only, when they're available at all, and I simply don't have room to keep crates around that will last me years. I would load rifle calibers only (7.62 X 54R only for now, but possibly 7.62 X 39, 303 brit, 7.62 nato, and 30-06 in the future). The idea is to keep enough supplies around to be able to load 100-200 rounds when I need them instead of running all over town trying to find a couple of boxes, at hugely inflated prices. Besides the kit and dies, what will I need ? (obviously brass, powder, primers and bullets, but I'm mostly concerned about having the right hardware to get the job done for now).
