I know a fellow who has been a pro 'smith and stockmaker all his life and who is at the point of his career where he doesn't need to accept every job that comes through the door. If you bring him your Norinco or Dominion 870 clone for repair, he will politely refer you to other 'smiths that might help you. He told me that the last Norinco that came through his door had the barrel lug separated from barrel:eek:; something he'd never seen happen to a Remmy during his long career.

I was wondering what other pro 'smiths think; if you love your son ;) would you give him a Norinco/Dominion?

Hahahah with my last Remington experience, and I mean last as in forever I would take a Norinco/Dominion over one in a heart beat. Ive have not owned one of their shotguns but have never had any problems with any rinco guns I have owned. Remington might as well farm the whole god damn deal out to China. I think their quality is swirling straight down the crapper. They are already taking Baikal's and selling them as their own. Wonder why, does Baikal make something in this day and age that works?

Take a look at the awsome metalurgy/sloppy tolerances going on here. This was an 870 supermag I bought, brand new, 1 week ago. Put not quite 50 rounds through. Nice huh? It also wouldn't extract to save my life if I needed it to do so. Thanks Remington for taking ten minutes to hone your craptastical ream job.

I also had a 572 Fieldmaster or should I say jam master? cycled shorts and longs just fine but forget about shooting long rifle out of it. Best single shot repeater I ever owned  I have now sworn off Remington for life. They can lick my left one. I now own a Benelli Supernova. Lemme tell you, the grass is green on this side, leave the brown burnt lawn for Remington.
The older Remingtons are probably just fine, but the new stuff, stuff it Remington.

P.S. Sorry about the long rant. Can you tell Im very bitter with Remington? F'em. I feel a bit better now, hoping I have forwarned someone. Well Im not working in the morning so it's time for a Rye me thinks.

I fix a few guns every now and then. A fellow brought in one of these things(NORINCO) with the action locked up the trigger was pulled with one in the chamber.
Kind of a hairy situation to say the least. I managed to take off the barrel and drop the trigger assembly to set it right couldn't find any problem other than I think they are made roughly. I personally don't what anything more to do with them.
