What do u think of this gun?

Of course it is. Payed a low price and got a cheap gun.

Cheap = low quality, disposable, no manufacturer's warranty.

When you gamble at cards there are times you're gonna lose, regardless of how skilled you are. Gambling on quality is the same thing - eventually you're going to lose.

How much more expensive is a Mossberg or Remington when you factor in all the costs? They can have lemons too, but those manufacturers back their products better than the chinese communists tend to do. Not to mention the fact that a well-used remington still has decent resale value, whereas a used chinese clone isn't worth the box it came in...

Really????

I have a Winchester 1300 Defender that retailed for $400. Did I get what I paid for? Ya, you bet cha, I did. A quality firearm that is well made and go figure, I paid in the end as much as the person did for this Tomahawk. I have added some extras, but comparing apples to apples, I got a better deal. I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for, but in this instance it was not just a lemon, it was an overall display of poor workmanship and quality control. Pictures say a thousand words.

Please let us know how this turns out. I would be happy to hear that you have been looked after.

This thread saddens me because I really did want to believe in the Tomahawk.

I liked their design and was in the market for a semi-auto shotgun, and I don't use my existing shotguns enough to justify spending a lot on a new one. I heard the 935 offered decent bang for the buck. Or I could give in and buy an SX2 or something in that price range, but not in my immediate future.

I might have fully agreed with you if it wasn't for the M14S (or M305.. whatever), I have seen high priced Springfields and they haven't knocked my socks off compared to the 14S. I guess SOMETIMES you get more than you pay for.

lets not get overexcited:

the M305s are worth the $400... nothing more, nothing less. i had to spend a couple hundred extra on mine as well as a few hours of work to get it into what i would consider good condition. a few people are making it out like they are the 'deal of the century' which IMO is a bit of an exaggeration.

i see little difference between the M305 and the Tomahawk in terms of quality, except that with an M305 it is a tried and tested design with quality replacement parts and addons are readily available, and there are many knowledgable people around who can help you fix common problems like mis-indexed barrels, etc.

A Remington lemon? Maybe Mossberg, but Remington thats the first I hear. Every Remington I bought functioned 100% all the time. My oldest one is an 870 special purpose magnum 18.5inch, father bought that before i was born she is about 26 years old now and I never for the life of me seen it jam/mal function you name it. I beat that like if it owed me money and she never turned me down once. God I love Remington shotguns..:D

Last and final update to my saga: Credit Card was refunded the whole amount I paid initially, plus return shipping, for a grand total of 370.07 on August 27 - 2008.
