What do ya do with youe empty surplus ammo crates?

I use them to make a shelving unit within my ammo stogage cabinet.
One crate on each side of the cabinet, a piece of 3/4" plywood over these, then 2 more crates, and so on.
 
Saw a guy build a house out of 105 mm ammo crates. What a shack, the boards were only about 3 ft long. He lived in it for a while then put siding on it & sold it to some poor buggar
 
years ago , i use to have a media/projector room in my basement , i would have love to decorated it to a bunker with sandbags and ammo crates like the one in the movie platoon . :D
 
Mine put the "man" in my man-closet. Someday I'll have a garage and they'll add to the ambience there. A few empty ammo cases beside your rifle safe really adds to the look right? Now for some ww2 era soviet propoganda posters....

Oh, I guess I store ammo/guntools/cleaning stuff in mine.
