Waiting on a Synthetic McMillan stock, then I got one going in to be pillar bedded. Trying to find a trigger for a Sako L61R on another,(Help anyone?), then the action will be finished and ready for the barrel to be fitted and it can be pillar bedded to the stock I have for it. Then hopefully it's time to do some shooting!

Ian Robertson has my Stiller Predator, Krieger SS #4 contour, barreled action chambered in .260 that he will be bedding for me in one of his General Purpose Hunter stocks. Colour is going to be a bit of a surprise - a mix of green and gray.

Obtunded got me the barrel and Mick McPhee put it together.

Rem 700 SS/LA getting a new Bansners Ultralight stock & factory barrel turned down one cut and trimmed to 24". Timney will be installed as well. Leeper is the man...

Sorry to here that guys I hope that karma came around and got them.

They went out of business, promised to finish my rifles on their own time, and then disappeared. Life is hard sometimes. It's why I started doing my own, so good incentive I guess. - dan

Dan,

I know how you feel. At least ive only had to write off one .

The gunsmith, gun, barrel and money I put down have all turned into pumpkins.

c'est la vie.

No, let me be clear. I fully believe that they intended everything they said, but sometimes life just doesn't play out the way you would like. They were better 'smiths then businessmen I suppose, and that's what got them in the end. It was too bad, as they always did good work for me up to the end. As mentioned, c'est la vie. Still not sure what to tell the CFO though, does "Whoops" cut it? - dan

I am doing two rifles and a pistol, new stocks from scratch (on the rifles) and a redo on the metal. Havn't decided yet to go brown or black. Does smithing it myself count as gunsmithing? :)
