What do you Lube your SKS with: Oil, Grease, Dirt, Spit?

it is the type of firearm that doesnt require lots of care
only thing really essential is to clean after shooting corrosive

otherwise i use wd40 for the outside and G96 for the indside (cleaning and lubrication)

AHAHA i like that! Ive used Hoppes 9, Break Free clp, and some other oil i bought from canadian tire and have had no problems with the gun and virtually no wear. Just a little paint missing from my bolt carrier. I have one the russian 51's with the black bolt and bolt carrier. To make a long story short i i dont think the SKS really care what lube you use. Try olive oil :p

Although I heard if you spit on it, works too.
:p
Grease what slides and oil what pivot's. Oil generisly & grease lightly.

Rem oil. I use it on all my firearms. Its a nice light oil that eventually dries, especially when the firearm heats up. Never leaves any residue.

On my SKS's I coat every metal part in a thin layer of oil. Never a problem.

I use G96 spray on the stuff that pivots, and some light gun grease on the parts that slide. Or if I have any left I'll use Balistol spray on all the parts.
