I shoot a Tikka T3 in 300 WSM and need to replace my brass. I have heard some brass streches more than others which has an impact on their longevity. Any better brands out there? And where can the components be found,

You help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Too expensive for my budget, and am well stocked but I'm sure a lot of replies will say Nosler, available at Cabelas or others.

I will check into the Nosler brass. I don't mind paying more than what "regular" brass would cost since I don't shoot that 300 WSM all that much.

I ran into consistency/quality control issues with previous lots I purchased and want to rule that out of the accuracy equation.

Thank you both for your suggestions.

I reload for 300wsm using federal and Winchester brass for my tikka t3. What I have noticed is how hard this round is on brass. I noticed split necks and loose primer pockets right after the first shot on factory loads.
I full sized them (0.005" shoulder bump) and loaded them with a not so hot load (Sierra MK 150gn @ 3000fps) and than again I had to discard the same amount of brass because of the same reasons. Never experienced smth like this on other calibers I reload.
I have no experience with other brass makers.

I am having the same experience, and this is why I reached out. I have never had any problems with brass longevity for any of the other chamberings that I handload (243 Win, 270 Win, 7mm-08 rem and 45-70 Govt). My 300 WSM brass stretches in a very odd place too. The case becomes gradually wider across the web in the extractor groove and ends up not fitting in my case trimmer's shell holder. I use published data from bullet and powder manufacturers, and I am nowhere near maximum loads. It's unlikely this is caused by my rifle's chamber being too wide(?). I will experiment with expensive brass, but I am not buying a big lot like I usually do. I will start with 25 and see what happens.
