i have a WWI reproduced Colt .45 and was thinkin of selling it but im very torn if should keep it instead.. only 1000 got reproduced,what do you members think?

k so yeah, i dont do forums much, im supposed to tell abit of my existense here, im from alberta, i have started collecting firearms about 6 years ago, i dont usually have time to target practice but i love firearms and learning so all info i can absorb the better! im new here sp be easy on me and guide me in the roght directions here on cgn and i have tols a few ppl about this site and want to chat about firearms on my time off when im surfin the net! so hello all!

Since it's a limited production run, if you don't have to sell it then keep it.

Post some pics though, we'd all love to see it..... ;)

Very nice gun, when were these produced???
If you are serious about selling it I am sure that there would be lots of interest from prospective buyers. There was quite a stir when Colt was taking orders for the 1911-2011 Centennial Edition and if I had any money at the time I would have got one.
 
Nice gun :) looks just like my 01911ANVIII (exept from the markings if course), I assume that's the 01918. I'd hang onto it, they're a blast to shoot with the tiny sight, sharp edges and hammer bite lol. Oldschool!
 
I've got one too. I think it would be a good candidate to tweak into the 21st Century with some minor refinements, such as Novak sights, an enlarged ejection port, a Commander style hammer, a thumb safety with more contact area, a raised grip safety, some dehorning, etc. If I didn't have more pressing projects, that would be the path I'd follow.
