What do you think of the RIA 10-22 clone?

I like mine, runs like a top. Put it in a troy T-22 chasis with the idea of swapping in a custom 10-22 later on.
that's not what I heard. there's a thread somewhere with all the parts that aren't interchangeable with 10/22 parts....one was the barrel

Its hit and miss. The troy had to have its take down screw hole enlargened ever so slightly and an appropriate replacement screw for the RIAs larger takedown screw.
I would go this route as well. Or buy a used 10-22 in the price range of the RIA 10-22 if you plan on swapping out the parts anyways. At least you know that way you have the original base gun to start with. The RIA has only been on the market for a short period of time . I would wait for them to be on the market at least 2-3 years before I bought one to see if they stand up like the 10-22 does.

Just shot mine this afternoon , works like a charm with Winchester wild cat, like the previous post said for a couple bones, makes a great beater 10-22 for sure.
actually I bought this for my nephew so he wouldn't beat my vintage Ruger duluxe . It will be used for partridge hunting in a little more than a month , the red insert front sight works great!
Im sure Ruger is starting an injunction as we speak

They come with a base, plus a Butler Creek 10 shot mag. Edited....
I took one out of our gun show inventory, stripped the WWII Russian tank primer paint off and gave it several coats of raw linseed oil. I have fired probably around 3-500 rounds without cleaning, using mostly a 25 rnd BC mag. No snags so far. Maybe two or three fail to feed, but operator isn't too smart.
I put on a used 4x Burson scope from a trade in. I haven't done any 300 page, in-depth, all-encompassing reviews on it. I don't care if anything other than the mags interchange. As I progress in my scientific research, I'll post the good and the bad. So far, it works just fine. Great little rifle for $200.
You can't take anything serious that I write because I use an el cheapo Mossberg plinkster as my tractor/combine/swather gun when I work for a farm. So, what would I know.
The pic shows the body putty used to fill defects. Wood seems to be "Fence Post" or "Nearest Bush". Still better looking than my Plinkster.

I bought the first one in Canada LOL, didn't know what to expect, but 2 years later and LOTS of range time, I've never had a problem. Its seen Thousands of rounds and showing no wear any place. You cant go wrong for the money. A 10/22 is a utility gun and the RIA is just as rugged.

I'd like to buy one just to drop it into a BC folder-stock..advice?
That stock looks gorgeous, BTW.
cyclone- I put this gun in this ATI stock and for some reason the gun shot really high. I put it back in the original stock and regained my accuracy. don't know why.

Personally, I've never had much luck with the ATI stocks...hence the Butler Creek folder stocks, which I adore.
