What kind of sight do you guys use for big game? Does anyone still use open sights? I have a scoped Tikka .300wm, however I have used a Nagant with open sights with great success (to be fair it was only a 150 yard shot with a Polish Mosin Nagant). My next hunt will be with a Polish Nagant with open sights. (Spring bear hopefully)

Poll is no good, I can't pick multiple choices. My main hunting rifle carries a Bushnell 3200 3-9x40, but I also hunted with my Garand and M-38 Swede Mauser last fall. Took my one deer with the Garand on opening day, too.

I use a peep sight for my goto do all rifle...45-70 95G. I also use open sights on my small game rifles.
But I do use a scoped 30-30 on occasion now....so I guess I use all the above:)

I use everything on your list except the "advanced" iron sights. I've got levers that don't wear a scope, an 1885 with a ladder-style sight, bolt guns that are iron-only and iron-backup and a double with express sights. I've taken game with scopes and irons. I'd sure love more of a chance to use irons-only (maybe this spring for bear). In reality, it all depends on the game and conditions. Irons only in the mountains or the bald-headed prairie would be less than ideal as would a 4-12x in the alders.
