What do you use to store reloads?

I use Ziplock bags. Labelled. These go into surplus ammo cans or other bulk containers. I do use MTM boxes for my precision loads.

MTM 50 boxes. I have 1800 .308 Lapua casings in them so I have a lot of them. Plus about 500-600 .223 casings all in MTM 50 boxes.

I fill labeled Ziploc bags with 100 pistol rounds or 40 rifle rounds each. All of my ammo is stored in a large Rubbermaid bin.

When I started shooting I bought some cases of ammo from BDX and Wolf. I kept the trays (and the brass) that they came in and now I use them for my reloads.

I put mine all in the plastic boxes MTM, Plano etc... and I save the plastic inserts from any ammo boxes that make good storage trays for ammo.

I got a lot of boxes but they are not that expensive :D and its neat

Dillon Blue Boxes and as woodchopper does into MTM lockable ammo boxes. Label the outside then all I need to do is take that MTM box to the range. Buy the lock sets with 4 or 6 padlocks so need only one or two keys.
The MTM are nice as they stack. ( 50 cal design)

I refill the Frontier boxes, and store them back in the origional 4 box case. Left overs go into my Dillon Border Shift bag.

That's it eh? Just throw them in ziploc bags and put in an ammo can?

It seems like someone out here must have an ingenious way of storing ammo in an organized, MTM case fashion minus the continuous buying of plastic cases.

I'm not anal by any means but just throwing my ammo in a bag doesn't sit well with my organized German blood.
:D

If I had all my ammo in one Rubbermaid bin, it would need to be a large one!!:p:p

I use Ziplock bags, store bought ammo boxes, empty coffee cans, reuseable ammo boxes, the good quality plastic ice cream boxes. Some of my ammo is in a small freezer with two hasps and padlocks, most of the rest is in a locked room. As I've said before, I could hold off the Chinese Army for approx. 3 mos. of heavy fighting!

Yeah, you're right; I need more ammo! The bin is about 28" x 16" x 13" BTW.
Actually, my two crates of 7.62x39mm sit next to the bin, So I guess it doesn't all quite fit.

Factory boxes, Cabela's plastic boxes, zip-lock bags for small quantities, Rubbermade plastic containers with lockable lid (not very large ones - they get very heavy with ammo in) bought at Walmart at $4.47 or so per box, holds ~1K of 9mm ammo or ~2K cases or ~3K bullets each...

What the heck is wrong with MTM cases? They are like what, $2 each?

By 50 at a time and then you will only have to buy once in a while.

I'm getting charged 5-6 bucks for a small 50 rounder. Regardless of price, it is annoying having to pack around 6 small cases to the range instead of one large case. Maybe it is just me but moving around a bunch of small cases when a large case would be easier is a waste of resources.
