I just picked up JW22 for too good a price to pass up. My eyes are not what they used to be and I am finding tje front bead harder to see, especially the way you need to mash your head down on the JW22 making it so my glasses are not in a great spot.

I picked up a Weaver cantilever mount t as I want to be able to take it apart to lug with me camping. Thing is the scope mounted on it sticks back so far it almost defeats the purpose of breaking it down.

I had three options I thought of:

1) Canibalize the Vortex Venom off my 12 gauge (rarely use it), open up one of the slots in the base for the Pic bar on the Venom, and cut the mount short

2) same as above but canibalize a Vortex Sparc2 off of a Glock 17/KPOS Scoit setup I plan to sell.

3) Turn the scope base around and pick up a scout scope.

Option 1 and 2 are the cheapest but I worry about running a purely battery powered optic on something to take into tje puckerbrush.

If somebody thought of 3 as tje best, what would you recommend for a scout scope keeping in mind the rifle cost less than the last pair of running shoes I bought? No Leaper or UTG, bad experiences.
