What glass for 22mg?

Ditching the 3x9x40 crap that came with the rifle. Shoping for a scope for my Savage 93FVSS in 22mag. Would like clear, dependable, and about x16. I have had good luck with Bushnell elite 3200 and 6500 series on centerfires but don't know if I need to spend that kind of cash on a 22. What do you guys recomend. Rifle will be used mainly for recreational target shooting at 100m. I am not product loyal and will entertain any suggestions.

I have a bushnell elite 3200 7-21x40AO on my cz452 .22 mag. Its great. i can see the marks on the gong at 200-250yrds. I am thinking of selling it because i would like somthing able of lower magnification for in close hunting. but IMO the 21X is not too much magnification. but i would like the ability to go lower
